THE GAME ROOM

Tuesday Nights is the name of our class and The Game Room is where we meet when we are not together.

Got a idea that just can't wait...tell us about it.
You need to hash something out, maybe we can help.
Or maybe you just want to see what everybody else is up to.
Post links, post pictures, post questions or just ask one.

My Philosophy.
I teach through action and immersion. Just keep moving, contemplate later. In art, for me at least, there are times of rest and contemplation, and times of work. Art making is a time for work. It is the time to pull from the mental and make physical. Create a reality, a piece of art. For this the contemplative brain needs to move over, the art critic side isn’t even invited to the party. Learn to ask and answer your own questions on the move. The sooner I can get you making art the better. Get something done and then we have something to talk about.

The Artists Group Tuesday Nights is inviting Ramona’s Art lovers to an Art Exhibition of works based on examinations of the traditions of giving and receiving. The Title of this falls exhibition is the Gift and the box it came in.

“Tuesday Nights” is an Art Workshop for local creative types, facilitated by Artist Helen Wilson. Each Workshop is built around a project idea. The projects end in an exhibition. Mostly this is a way to advance creative skills while socializing with others of your artistic ilk.
We began gifting 3 months ago by creating small art gifts and leaving them at undisclosed locations around our community to be taken or re-gifted. For our exhibition piece I asked these questions: What was the most important gift you were given, what did you always want but never receive or what gift do you think the world needs? The Artists were free to interpret the project however their muses directed, and were free to extend themselves. There was one rule “keep a sense of play.”  The group can be seen on the blog http://tuesdaynights-thegameroom.blogspot.com

The exhibitions artists are Tracy Potter, Lark Burkhart, Deborah Behnke, Helen Petre, Susie Amundson, Ralph Jensen, Cindy Dodson, Antonia Cosentino, Kathe Rothe, Regina Wilson, Ann Marie Heaton, Marsha Cook, John Gardener, Kathleen Beck, Lauren Chiara, Nancy Fergusion, Sarah Gutz, Stephine Hass, Denise Kelly, Paula Riddle, Paula Beck, Rose Goehner, Sarah Spicher, Pamela Underwood, Nancy Winslow and Helen Wilson.
Within this group are Book Artists, Quilters, Collage Artists, Glass Artists, Mosaic Artists, Painters, Mixed Media Artists, Sculptors, Educators, Expressive Art Therapists, Activists, Environmentalists, Jewelry Makers, Librarians and just plan makers.
Come out to the opening on Sunday Night Nov 23rd from 6 to 8 pm and see what Gifts you find. The dress is Black and White so come in your funkiest formal wear. You can buy a scratch off ticket to win a planet ornament. The ticket sales start at 7PM. Proceeds go to the Art Center in Ramona. We are located at 1140 Main Street, Suite 208, Ramona, CA 92605, upstairs, above McWhorter Jewelers and the Tuna Shack.
The exhibition is only Three days and the Reception is really a closing so don’t wait. Gallery Hours are Ten until Six From Friday the 21st through Sunday the 23rd ending that night in the reception which runs from 6 to 8PM.
